Ethnic groups of Russia and the rest of the FSU
Ethnic groups in Russia, Ukraine and other FSU countries
Did you know that FSU (former Soviet Union) countries like Russia and Ukraine are some of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world?
For instance, Russia is not only the biggest country on Planet Earth but there are approximately 160 ethnicgroups residing there.
Besides ethnicRussians there are Tatars, Ukranians, Bashkir, Chuvash, Chechens, Armenians, Georgians, Mordva, Belorussians, Kazakh, Yakut, Buryat, and many others.
Each ethnic group has their own unique language and culture.
The looks vary from nordic blond to middle Eastern and far Eastern (asian).
And of course, there are plenty of people of mixed ethnic background. I personally have 4 ethnic groups mixed in me that I know of.
There is a Russian proverb “If you rub a Russian you will find a tatar under the top layer of skin”. Many Russians have well pronounced Asian features (think of Leonid Brezhnev or Vladimir Lenin).
There are 4 major religious groups: Orthodox Christian, Islam, Jewish, and Buddhism. So you can find women of all different types of look: Nordic blonds, Mediterranian looking brunetts that you could take for Spanish or Italian, middle eastern look (georgians, armenians), asian (far east) and lots of mixed people who have the blood of several ethnic groups.
Whatever your taste is you can find it in Russia.
I think that some of the prettiest women come from mixed ethnic background, they look stunning and exotic.
